The Membership is of three types:

Full Membership: 

  1. The candidate must be holding a scientific qualification in the field of the society, and registered at the commission.
  2. Shall be a resident of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, or of any of the gulf States.
  3. Shall have forwarded an application to join the society.
  4. To pay the society fees and the annual subscriptions.
  5. A decision for his acceptance is to be issued by the Society Board, and he shall be notified with that.

Honorary Membership:

To be granted by the Society Board of Directors to those who provided different services to the society or participated in advancing its activities inside or outside the Kingdom, and they shall be exempted from paying fees or subscriptions. A member of them who does not have a scientific qualification, can attend the assembly meetings and take part in the discussions, but shall not vote. 

 

Affiliation Membership:

Such a member must be:

  1. Holding health qualification in the field of the society and who is not a resident of the Kingdom.
  2. Holding a health quantification different from that of the Society, whether residing inside or outside the Kingdom.
  3. Student of the medical or of applied medical colleges, or the related health or technical in institutes.
  4. One of those working in the field of the society, but do not hold the scientific qualification required for a member.

The affiliated members shall be exempted from the fees and can attend and participate in the meetings, but does not vote.

Merits of Membership:

  1. Priority in nomination for the society tasks.
  2. Reduction of fees required for attending symposiums and scientific meetings that are organized by the society.
  3. Shall receive the publications and the periodicals of the society in reduced price. 

Expiry of Membership:

The society membership expires in the following cases:

  1. If the member withdraws in writing or if he dies.
  2.  If the member loses one of the membership conditions.
  3. If he does not pay the annual subscription fees within a period of one year, but, he first has to be notified to pay within the last three months of the year, but does not pay then, his membership will be lost.

If he commits an act harmful to the society or to its Board. But in such case, investigation has to be made, and proved to the Board that the member has in fact committed a harmful act. Then, the Board shall drop the membership of that member who shall be notified, and also he with not be able to get back what he paid of fees and their like.

Expiry of Membership:

Getting Back the Membership:

  1. The membership can be gained back when the member applies for that and for the non-existence of the reason set in paragraph (3) of article six. The return shall be made by a decision of from the society Board, and in such case, the member shall pay all the past fees and subscriptions.
  2. The membership can be gained back, when the concerned member applies for that, and if the reasons set in paragraph (4) of article six, no longer exist.
  3. A membership can be gained for the second time which shall be the last, and no return can be made after it.

A membership for the second time cannot be grated, if the first drop was based on a reason set in paragraph (4) of article six.
